FROM SARDINIA, THIN AS PARCHMENT.

CHERCHI · ALGHERO, SARDINIA, ITALY

Founded in 1995 in Alghero, on the northwest coast of Sardinia, Cherchi began as a small artisan bakery founded by Rosalia Cherchi.

From the beginning, the family focused on a distinctive interpretation of one of Sardinia’s oldest bread traditions: Pergamena di Pane, a delicate variation of traditional pane carasau.

Golden, paper-thin and remarkably crisp, Pergamena di Pane is made to accompany the table rather than compete with it — pairing naturally with cheeses, cured meats, spreads, seafood and aperitivo.

Today, the Cherchi family continues to combine Sardinian baking tradition with modern production standards, preserving the simplicity, texture and flavors that made this bread part of the island’s food culture.

A little piece of Sardinia, baked in Alghero and made to be shared.
